iRACING.com Huttu wins IEM World Championship

Team Redline's Greger Huttu further solidified his unofficial title as the world’s greatest sim racer by winning the iRacing.com Intel® GP Series World Final. Bastien Bartsch also made a strong appearance in the 30 lap race at Laguna Seca making it a one-two for Team Redline sponsored by Fanatec.

At first it was Bastien Bartsch setting the pace in practise and qualifying. The Frenchman posted an impressive lap of 1:17.990 around Laguna Seca’s 11 turn, 2.238 mile layout. Indeed, Bartsch was the only sim racer to break the 1:18 mark as Huttu posted a best lap of 1:18.080, .3s better than Williams. Florida’s Ray Alfalla (1:18.422) and New England’s Jake Stergiois (1:18.447) completed the top five qualifiers ahead of Wyatt Gooden (Ohio), Mitchell McLeod (Australia) and Ian Lake (Australia).

The start was a clean affair with Bastien making a strong getaway with HUttu. With few passing opportunities on the fast sweeping track Bartsch seems destined to win the event. Things were to change on lap 2 however, Bartsch made an uncharacteristic driving error by turning in marginally too early at turn 6, he had to get out of the throttle thus allowing Greger to get a run at him into the corkscrew - which he duly did.

From there, Huttu managed to control the race, Bartsch stayed close throughout and was ready to pounce on any mistake - none came, the iceman remained calm to claim the $4000 first prize. Bastien came home just 0.9 behind and claimed $2500!

The time has come for PC and Xbox 360 gamers to take their best shot in Crysis 2 multiplayer. Now available for download, the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo includes two stunning maps, two adrenaline-filled modes, and hours of multiplayer action. In the demo, PC and Xbox 360 gamers will master the game’s signature Nanosuit, which allows them to be strong, be invisible, be fast and become the ultimate weapon.

Players will compete in six vs. six matches set against a war-torn Manhattan in two maps: “Skyline”, set on top of the rooftops and interiors of skyscrapers, and “Pier 17”, an open environment with limited cover. The demo also features two modes: “Team Instant Action” pits two teams against each other as they kill as many opponents as possible to win the round and “Crash Site,” where players will battle for control of alien drop pods, earning points by guarding their pods and keeping enemies at bay.

The story will take place in Norway, the Middle East, and Asia. The Ghosts will be fighting an ultra-nationalist force that took control of Russia and are invading neighboring countries. The player will take control of a 4-man Ghost squad consisting of a commando (Kozak), a sniper (Pepper), a reconnaissance expert (30k), and an engineer (Bones).

Iz Ubisofta je stigla potvrda o odgodi igre Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Igra je premještena za sljedeću godinu, odnosno razdoblje između siječnja i ožujka 2011. Razlog odgode je, kako Ubisoft kaže, prenatrpano razdoblje blagdana 2010. u kojem će, pored ostalih, izaći igre Call of Duty: Black Ops i Halo: Reach. No zasigurno je u razlog odgode upleten i novi Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam just made its very first appearance at the Tokyo Game Show. For those of you who weren't able to make it, we'll bring the experience to you. So relax and journey back to the 60's and the infamous Vietnam war with this brand new trailer.

At the heart of this expansion lie four distinct, brand-new multiplayer maps based on the Vietnam war. Each map brings a new gameplay experience and fresh visuals, with characteristics such as foxholes, tunnels and dense jungles from where the enemy can launch surprise attacks. Also, 15 classic Vietnam-era weapons and 6 vehicles are available from the moment you go online.

All four multiplayer game modes from Battlefield: Bad Company 2, including the genre-defining Conquest Mode, will be playable in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam. The expansion is integrated with the full game persistence, so no matter what theatre of war you participate in, you will continue to level up your soldier as usual.

To set that unmistakable 60's atmosphere, the audio team at DICE has recorded all-new voice-overs for both sides of the conflict, based on authentic dialogue from the Vietnam war. On top of this, a rocking soundtrack with 2 hours worth of time typical tracks gives the expansion a truly characteristic sound.

Here is the Official EA Sports FIFA 11 Gameplay trailer from GamesCon 2010.
The FIFA 11 Demo will be released on 15th September for PS3 and on 16th September for Xbox 360 and PC. These teams are included: FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Olympique Lyon, FC Chelsea and Juventus Turin!
The German cover stars are Mesut Özil, who is transfered from Werder Bremen to Real Madrid this year, and Rene Adler, goal keeper at Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
